Who is this cleansing emulsion intended for?

It is suitable for normal, dry, very dry, combination and dehydrated skin requiring effective but gentle daily cleansing. It may be particularly suitable when conventional foaming cleansers leave the skin tight, rough or uncomfortably dry.

Why is gentle cleansing important?

Overly aggressive cleansers may remove too many protective lipids from the skin surface. This may increase tightness, flaking and reactivity and, in combination skin, may contribute to increased oiliness. A gentle emulsion removes impurities while hydrating and lipid ingredients support skin comfort.

Directions for use

1. Moisten the face and neck with lukewarm water.
2. Apply a small amount of cleanser to the hands.
3. Massage gently over the face without aggressive rubbing.
4. Pay particular attention to the nose, chin and hairline.
5. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
6. Pat the skin dry with a soft towel.
7. Continue with serum and moisturising cream.

Use morning and evening. Persistent or waterproof make-up should first be removed with a dedicated make-up remover, followed by cleansing with Rilastil Aqua Facial Cleanser.

Pharmacist’s advice

A small amount is sufficient for one cleanse. Longer massage and a larger amount do not necessarily cleanse more effectively and may increase tightness. Use lukewarm water and pat the face dry without rubbing.

When the skin is dry or dehydrated, apply a hydrating serum or moisturiser immediately after cleansing. Combination skin may prefer a lightweight finishing texture, while dry skin may require a richer emollient cream.
