Who is this cleansing cream intended for?

It is intended for skin that easily reacts with redness, stinging, itching, dryness or tightness after washing. It may suit dry, normal and combination sensitive skin, as well as a temporarily weakened skin barrier following excessive use of active ingredients or aggressive cleansers.

What is affinity cleansing?

During affinity cleansing, emollient ingredients bind to oils, make-up, sunscreen residue and impurities on the skin surface. They are then removed with a soft pad or rinsed away without relying on strong foaming agents that may increase dryness and tightness in sensitive skin.

Directions with rinsing

1. Moisten the face with lukewarm water.
2. Apply a small amount to the face and neck.
3. Massage gently with the fingertips without rubbing.
4. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry with a soft towel.
5. Follow with a soothing or moisturising cream.

Directions without rinsing

1. Apply to slightly damp skin or a soft cotton pad.
2. Distribute gently over the face and neck.
3. Remove the residue with a clean soft pad without strong pressure.
4. According to the manufacturer, rinsing is optional.

Keep the eyes closed when removing eye-area make-up and avoid rubbing. Very persistent or waterproof make-up may require an additional gentle remover suitable for sensitive eyes.

Cleansing sensitive and reactive skin should be brief and gentle. Use lukewarm rather than hot water, avoid brushes and abrasive scrubs and pat the face dry rather than rubbing it with a towel.

When the skin barrier is irritated, temporarily simplify the routine to gentle cleansing, a soothing moisturiser and daytime sun protection. Reintroduce acids, retinoids and strong exfoliants gradually only after the skin has settled.
