Pernaton Gel Forte 125 ml is a warming topical gel for massaging muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments affected by stiffness, tension or discomfort after physical exertion. In newer packaging, the product may be labelled Pernaton Warming Gel, its current name following the former Pernaton Gel Forte designation.
The formula combines Original Perna Extract from New Zealand green-lipped mussel with chilli-pepper extract and selected essential oils. Massage creates an intensive, long-lasting and comfortable warming sensation, making the gel particularly convenient for warming the muscles before activity and for relaxing massage after everyday or sporting exertion.

How does Pernaton Gel Forte work?
Green-lipped mussel extract from Perna canaliculus naturally contains glycosaminoglycans and other constituents used in formulas for massage and care of muscle and joint areas. In Pernaton Gel Forte, it is combined with ingredients that create warmth and support a comfortable massage experience.
Chilli-pepper extract and thermoactive ingredients create a gradual and longer-lasting warming sensation at the application site. Warmth during massage may contribute to a feeling of relaxation and improved comfort in tense muscles.
Rosemary, eucalyptus, ginger, camphor, menthol and citrus essential oils contribute to the characteristic aroma and the combination of freshness and warmth during massage. The product is particularly suitable when warming comfort is preferred to a cooling sensation.
Who is the product intended for?
Adults and children over three years of age requiring a local warming massage for muscles and joints. It may be practical for athletes, recreationally active people, people who sit or stand for prolonged periods and those experiencing tension in the neck, shoulders, back or legs.
Directions for use and important information
- Apply a small amount of gel to the required area.
- Massage gently using circular movements until fully absorbed.
- Repeat several times daily or as required.
- May be applied to the neck, shoulders, back, arms, elbows, knees, legs and feet.
- For massage before exercise, apply a small amount to the targeted muscle area.
- Wash the hands thoroughly after application unless the hands are being treated.
- Begin with a small quantity because the intensity of warming depends on individual skin sensitivity.
Important information and warnings
- For external use only.
- Do not apply to open wounds, broken, inflamed or severely irritated skin.
- Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes and the immediate eye area.
- Do not use underneath airtight or tightly occlusive dressings.
- Do not use immediately before or after a very hot shower, sauna or heating pad, as the warming effect may intensify.
- Not suitable for children under three years of age.
- Do not use in case of shellfish allergy or sensitivity to another ingredient.
- People with sensitive skin should test a small area first.
- Mild redness and warmth may occur, but use should be stopped if severe burning, rash or swelling develops.
- Do not apply another strongly warming or irritating topical product to the same area.
- Severe or persistent pain, marked swelling, a red and hot joint, inability to bear weight or symptoms after a significant injury require medical assessment.
