Lek ACC® acute 200 belongs to a group of medicines called mucolytics. Mucolytics reduce the density of the secretions in the respiratory tract, facilitate and support coughing in acute and chronic respiratory disease accompanied by the formation of a dense secretion and a severe cough.

What you should know before taking the medicine ACC® acute 200:
Do not use Lec ACC® acute 200:

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to acetylcysteine ​​or any other ingredient of ACC® Acute 200.
Because of the high concentration of the active substance, ACC® Acute 200 should not be used in children under 2 years of age.
They are recommended to use ACC® acute 200.
In children aged 1 month to 1 year ACC® acute 200 should only be used if there are vital medical indications. The drug should be administered with the strict control of the physician, preferably in hospital conditions. There are no reliable data and recommendations on the method of dosing acetylcysteine ​​in newborns.
When taking ACC® acute 200, take special care:
Very rarely, there have been the appearance of severe skin changes with the appearance of blisters or skin rashes (Stevens-Johnson and Lyell's syndrome) associated with the use of acetylcysteine. If new changes occur on the skin and mucous membranes, it is necessary to seek advice from the doctor immediately and stop using acetylcysteine.
Caution is required if you have bronchial asthma, or you have or have had stomach ulcer or duodenal ulcer.
Caution is needed in patients with histamine-related intolerance. Avoid prolonged use of this medicine since ACC® acute 200 can lead to the appearance of symptoms of intolerance (e.g., headache, nasal leaks, itching).
In patients with hepatic or renal impairment, ACC® acute 200 should not be used to avoid additional intake of nitrogen.
Tell your doctor if you are taking this medicine if you are on a diet with limited sodium intake (reduced sodium / salt intake) (see section "Important information about some ingredients of ACC® acute 200).

Use of other medicines:
Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those that can be obtained without a prescription.
Combined administration of acetylcysteine ​​with antitussives (anti-cough medicine can cause the secretion of airway secretion in the airway due to a decrease in cough reflex. Before using this combination of drugs, be sure to consult your doctor.
Oral antibiotics (tetracyclines, penicillins, aminoglycosides) should be administered separately from acetylcysteine ​​and at an interval of at least 2 hours. This does not apply to cefixime and loracarbef which can be taken concurrently with acetylcysteine.

Taking ACC® Acute 200 with food or drink:
Lek should be taken only after meals.

Application of ACC® Acute 200 in the period of pregnancy and lactation:

Pregnancy:
Considering that there is not enough experience in the use of acetylcysteine ​​in pregnant women, take this medicine only if the doctor considers it really necessary.
Breastfeeding:
There are no data on the secretion of acetylcysteine ​​in breast milk. It is therefore necessary to use this medication during breastfeeding only if the physician considers it necessary.

Effect of ACC® acute 200 on motor vehicle management and machine handling:
Acetylcysteine ​​does not affect the ability to drive a motor vehicle or to operate machinery.

One ACC® acute 200 effervescent tablet contains 3.5mmol (80.5mg) sodium

How is acco acut 200 used?
Take the ACE® Acute 200 Lecithin exactly as your doctor has explained to you. If you are not sure, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
For oral use.
ACC® acute 200: The medicine is for adults and children.
The effervescent tablet should be dissolved in a glass of water and immediately drunk. Lek should be taken only after meals.
During the therapy, a lot of fluids should be taken.
The tablets of ACC® Acute 200 should not be taken for more than 4-5 days unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. The duration of therapy depends on the type and severity of the disease.
In order to prevent infection, chronic bronchitis and mucoviscidosis (cystic fibrosis) therapy should be carried out in a longer period of time.
Unless otherwise specified, the following dosages are recommended:

Adults and adolescents older than 14 years:
2 sump tablets 2-3 times a day (equivalent to 400-600mg acetylcysteine ​​per day).
