A-Cerumen Ear Spray 40 ml is a medical device for the regular hygiene of the external ear canal and for softening and facilitating the removal of excess earwax. Its formula with mild plant-based surfactants moistens, softens and dissolves accumulated earwax, helping its natural elimination from the ear.

The product has two uses: it may be used regularly to help prevent excessive earwax build-up or for several consecutive days when an earwax plug has already formed. It is suitable for adults and children from 6 months of age, provided that it is used correctly and the warnings in the instructions are observed.

A-Cerumen may be especially practical for people who naturally produce more earwax, use hearing aids, earphones or earplugs, or frequently experience earwax build-up. It is not intended to treat ear infections, inflammation or ear pain.

Directions for regular ear hygiene: Use twice a week. Tilt the head so that the ear being treated faces upwards. Spray twice into the ear canal without inserting the nozzle deeply. Gently massage the base of the ear, return the head to an upright position and wipe away any excess solution with a clean tissue.

Directions for an earwax plug: According to the product instructions, the spray may be used in the morning and evening for 3–4 consecutive days. If the blocked sensation, reduced hearing or discomfort persists, consult a doctor or ear, nose and throat specialist. Do not attempt to remove the plug with cotton buds, tweezers or other objects.

After each use, clean the spray tip with a clean damp cloth. Avoid sharing the spray if there is a risk that the applicator may become contaminated.

Important warning:

Do not use A-Cerumen in cases of a perforated or damaged eardrum, ventilation tubes, an ear infection, discharge from the ear or previous ear surgery unless approved by a doctor. Seek medical advice in cases of ear pain, fever, dizziness, sudden hearing loss, sudden tinnitus, ear injury, bleeding or purulent discharge.

Do not insert the nozzle deeply into the ear canal or press it against the skin. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any ingredient. Before using it in children, particularly those unable to describe their symptoms, ensure that there is no pain, infection or damage to the eardrum.

Earwax is not dirt. In normal amounts, it protects the skin of the ear canal. A problem occurs when it accumulates excessively, becomes compacted or causes a blocked sensation and reduced hearing. Cotton buds frequently push earwax deeper into the canal and may worsen the problem, so only clean the visible outer part of the ear.

If the ear remains blocked after 3–4 days of correct use, do not continue prolonged self-treatment or attempt to remove the plug mechanically. An examination is required to establish whether the cause is earwax, an infection, a foreign object or another condition.
