Nimotop S is a drug containing the active substance nimodipine, a selective blocker of calcium channels, and is used in hospital conditions for the prevention and treatment of neurological deficits after subarachnoid hemorrhage, especially in patients with ruptured aneurysms.
Forms and dosage:
Nimotop S is available in two pharmaceutical forms:
Solution for infusion (10 mg/50 mL): Administered intravenously in a hospital setting. The initial dose is 5 mL/hour during the first two hours, and then it can be increased to 10 mL/hour, if there are no signs of a drop in blood pressure. The therapy lasts a minimum of 5 days, and a maximum of 14 days.
Film tablets (30 mg): Used as a continuation of therapy after infusion. The recommended dose is 2 tablets every four hours, which represents a maximum daily dose of 12 tablets (360 mg). The therapy lasts up to 21 days.
Contraindications:
Nimotop S must not be used in patients with:
Hypersensitivity to nimodipine or any auxiliary substance of the drug.
Severe hypotension.
Heart diseases, such as acute myocardial infarction or unstable angina pectoris.
Simultaneous use of rifampicin, phenobarbital, phenytoin or carbamazepine.
Adverse effects:
Possible side effects include:
Allergic reactions (swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, rash, itching).
Low blood pressure (may cause dizziness).
Slow heart rate (bradycardia).
Increase in the number of platelets in the blood.
Headache.
Tachycardia (rapid heartbeat).
Redness of the face, sweating, feeling of heat.
Nausea.
Difficult bowel movement (constipation).
Mild and temporary increase in liver enzymes.
Pain and/or swelling in the veins at the injection site.

For the territory of the Republic of Serbia:
For goods ordered up to 5.000,00 RSD, delivery charge is 260.00 RSD (VAT included). For goods over 5.000,00 RSD, shipping is free of charge.
For international delivery:
For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:
- Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
- Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD
- Zone III (Asia, Africa, America, Australia and other countries) - 2,650.00 RSD
Delivery time is 15 days or more (depending on the country of delivery)
For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
