The capsule should be taken separately from food. Taking a proteolytic enzyme with a meal may cause it to be used primarily in the digestion of dietary proteins.

Special caution is required with medicines that affect blood clotting. Do not combine the product with warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel or similar medicines without medical approval.

Severe or increasing pain, pronounced swelling, redness, fever, pus, loss of function or deterioration after surgery requires medical assessment rather than prolonged self-treatment with a supplement.
