PCOS Daily 30 capsules is a multi-ingredient food supplement containing myo-inositol, D-chiro-inositol, resveratrol, N-acetylcysteine, coenzyme Q10, vitamins D, E and B9, and selenium.
The formula is intended for adult women seeking additional nutritional support in polycystic ovary syndrome, insulin resistance, irregular menstrual cycles and preconception planning. Role of the key ingredients
Myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol are involved in cellular signalling pathways associated with insulin action. Inositol may be considered as additional nutritional support in PCOS, but individual response varies and regular cycles, ovulation, weight loss, improvement in acne or fertility should not be guaranteed.
Resveratrol, N-acetylcysteine, coenzyme Q10, vitamin E and selenium are commonly included in formulas aimed at antioxidant support. Vitamin E and selenium contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Vitamin D contributes to normal immune-system function and has a role in cell division. Folate contributes to normal amino-acid synthesis, blood formation, homocysteine metabolism and cell division.

Directions for use

Important information about the inositol ratio
The declared myo-inositol to D-chiro-inositol ratio is 2:1. This is not the same as the 40:1 ratio found in some other formulations. Current international guidance does not recommend one particular type, dose or ratio of inositol as proven to be best for all women with PCOS. Product selection should reflect metabolic status, symptoms, current treatment and the goal of supplementation.
Pharmacist advice
PCOS is not only an ovarian condition. Assessment may include menstrual regularity and ovulation, body weight and waist circumference, blood pressure, glucose, insulin, lipid profile, reproductive hormones, thyroid function and other causes of irregular cycles.
Do not judge the success of a product only by whether menstruation occurs earlier. Treatment goals differ and may include cycle management, reduction of metabolic risk, management of androgen-related symptoms or preparation for pregnancy.
PCOS Daily contains a relatively high proportion of D-chiro-inositol compared with myo-inositol. Do not add another inositol product or CreativePro Women without checking the complete formula and the intended supplementation goal.
Very infrequent or absent periods should not be left for months in the hope that a supplement will solve the problem. Medical assessment is important for endometrial protection, metabolic-risk assessment and appropriate treatment.
When pregnancy is planned, a supplement does not replace confirmation of ovulation, ovarian-reserve assessment, tubal-patency testing, the partner’s semen analysis or advice from a fertility clinic.
