OMNi-BiOTiC® 9 SR Kids Direct – 28 sachets is a food supplement for children aged 3 years and over, combining 9 carefully selected bacterial strains, prebiotic fibres and vitamin B2. The peach-flavoured powder is designed for direct use: simply pour it onto the tongue and allow it to dissolve without water.

One 1.2 g sachet provides at least 3.75 billion viable bacteria from 9 strains and 0.21 mg vitamin B2, corresponding to 15% of the Nutrient Reference Value. Two sachets provide at least 7.5 billion bacteria and 0.42 mg vitamin B2.

Vitamin B2 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, normal energy-yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Bacterial strains: Lactobacillus casei W56, Lactobacillus acidophilus W22, Lactobacillus paracasei W20, Bifidobacterium lactis W51, Lactobacillus salivarius W24, Lactococcus lactis W19, Bifidobacterium lactis W52, Lactobacillus plantarum W62 and Bifidobacterium bifidum W23.

Ingredients: xylitol, corn starch, maltodextrin, corn dextrin, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), bacterial strains, inulin, malic acid, natural peach flavour and vitamin B2 – riboflavin-5'-sodium phosphate.

Directions: children aged 3 years and over take 1–2 sachets daily. Tear the sachet open along the perforation, pour the powder directly into the mouth and allow it to dissolve on the tongue. No water is required.

Pharmacist's advice: probiotic preparations for children should be chosen according to age, individual strains and the product declaration, rather than bacterial count alone. If the child is taking an antibiotic, bacterial probiotic products are commonly separated from the antibiotic by at least 2–3 hours unless otherwise advised. Persistent diarrhoea, fever, blood in the stool, repeated vomiting or signs of dehydration require paediatric assessment.
