The Microlife BP 3AG1 is an automatic upper arm blood pressure monitor for home use. It measures systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse with a single press of the ON/OFF button: the cuff inflates automatically, and after the measurement the result appears on the display.

The device has a heart arrhythmia indicator: if pulse irregularities occur during the measurement, a symbol is shown next to the result. The instruction manual also includes a blood pressure classification table to help you put your readings into context. The last 30 readings are stored in memory, and the device switches itself off about one minute after use.

The BP 3AG1 is a straightforward monitor without additional functions such as triple-measurement mode or atrial fibrillation detection – a practical choice for anyone who wants regular, simple home control of blood pressure. How to use

Sit and relax for at least 5 minutes before the measurement and avoid activity, eating or smoking beforehand.

Always measure on the same arm (normally the left).
Fit the cuff about 2 cm above the elbow, with the artery mark over the artery on the inner arm, at heart level.
Press ON/OFF and stay still and quiet while the cuff inflates.
Read the systolic and diastolic values and the pulse, then remove the cuff.
Wait at least 15 seconds before repeating a measurement.

Who is it for?

The BP 3AG1 is suitable for adults who want to check their blood pressure regularly at home with as little operation as possible, for example after their doctor has recommended home measurement. Before buying, measure your upper arm: the right cuff size is essential for correct readings.

Important notes

The reading is not a diagnosis – never rely on a single measurement and discuss unusual values with your doctor.
Never change prescribed medication doses on the basis of your own measurements.
The pulse display is not suitable for checking the frequency of a pacemaker.
Keep the device at least 3.3 m away from mobile phones and radio equipment during measurement; do not wash the cuff in a washing machine or dishwasher.
Use only Microlife cuffs; have the accuracy checked every 2 years or after a mechanical impact.

Simple monitors give reliable information only if the measurement is done correctly: measure at the same times of day, sitting with your back supported, arm resting at heart level, and do not talk during the measurement. Write down the values or note them from the memory so you can show your doctor the trend, not just one number.

According to the instruction manual, the device stores up to 30 readings; when the memory is full, the oldest value is overwritten.
