How does MartiDerm Rosarepair Fluid Emulsion SPF 30 care for skin prone to redness?

MartiDerm Rosarepair Fluid Emulsion SPF 30 is a light facial emulsion from the Skin Repair line of the Spanish brand MartiDerm, created for sensitive, reactive skin that easily turns red. It combines soothing and barrier-supporting ingredients with UVA/UVB filters, so a single product covers daily care and sun protection of the face.

According to the manufacturer's descriptions published by authorised pharmacies, the emulsion helps prevent and reduce visible redness, relieves the feeling of heat in the skin, hydrates and soothes, and helps restore the skin's barrier function. Its formula brings together niacinamide, tranexamic acid, centella asiatica, horse chestnut extract, glycyrrhetinic acid (enoxolone) and prebiotics.

The emulsion has a pale green tint that helps to visually neutralise redness straight after application. Retailers describe it as suitable for skin with rosacea-type redness, as a daily complement between flare-ups – it does not replace treatment prescribed by a doctor or dermatologist.

Key benefits:

  • Helps prevent and reduce the appearance of redness on the face.
  • Relieves the feeling of heat and discomfort in reactive skin.
  • Hydrates and soothes, supporting the skin's barrier function.
  • SPF 30 with UVA and UVB filters for daily protection.
  • Green tint that visually neutralises redness immediately.
  • Light, fluid texture for morning and evening use.

Active ingredients and features

The key ingredients named by the manufacturer and authorised pharmacies:

Ingredient / featureRole in the formula
NiacinamideSoothing ingredient that supports the skin barrier; together with tranexamic acid it forms the TXB3 complex.
Tranexamic acidDescribed as helping to improve the look of the fine vascular network and reduce erythema (redness).
Centella asiatica extractSupports the skin barrier and the skin's natural repair.
Horse chestnut extractDescribed as calming and supporting the look of the fine blood vessels.
Glycyrrhetinic acid (enoxolone)Calming ingredient that helps reduce irritation and visible redness.
Prebiotics (alpha-glucan oligosaccharide)Help protect and balance the skin microbiota.
UVA/UVB filters, SPF 30Protect the skin from solar radiation, one of the common triggers of redness.
Green pigmentsVisually neutralise redness right after application.

How to use

Apply to the clean skin of the face twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, and massage gently until absorbed. In the morning, use it as the last step of your skincare routine, before make-up.

The emulsion can be used every day as maintenance care for redness-prone skin, between flare-ups and alongside any therapy recommended by your doctor.

Who is it for?

Rosarepair is intended for sensitive and reactive facial skin prone to redness – skin that flushes with sun, temperature changes, spicy food or alcohol, including skin with rosacea-type redness. It suits adults who want one light product that soothes, evens out the look of redness and provides SPF 30 daily protection.

Important notes

  • This is a cosmetic product – it does not treat rosacea. Persistent redness, papules or burning should be assessed by a dermatologist.
  • SPF 30 is suitable for everyday protection; for long stays in strong sun, use dedicated sun protection and reapply regularly.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes. Stop using the product if irritation occurs.
  • Some pharmacies list the product as no longer in their catalogue – check current availability before ordering.

Pharmacist's advice:

Skin prone to redness reacts strongly to friction, hot water and harsh cleansers, so the most effective routine is a short one: lukewarm water, a gentle cleanser, and then Rosarepair, which already contains SPF 30 and a green tint. That means fewer layers and less chance of irritation.

Keep a short note of what triggers your redness – sun, heat, spicy food, alcohol or stress – and avoid those triggers where possible. If redness is persistent, accompanied by small bumps or burning, or gets worse, consult a dermatologist: rosacea may need treatment, and Rosarepair then serves as supportive daily care.

Redness on the face – causes and care

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

1. Is Rosarepair suitable for rosacea?

It is intended for redness-prone, reactive skin, including skin with rosacea-type redness, as daily maintenance care between flare-ups. It is a cosmetic product and does not replace treatment prescribed by a dermatologist.

2. Why is the emulsion green?

The green pigments neutralise red tones optically, so redness looks less visible immediately after application. The effect is cosmetic and is combined with the soothing ingredients of the formula.

3. Can I use it instead of a sunscreen?

For everyday city exposure, SPF 30 with UVA/UVB filters provides daily protection. For the beach, mountains or long periods outdoors, use a dedicated sunscreen and reapply it regularly.

4. Can I apply make-up over it?

Yes. In the morning, apply Rosarepair as the last skincare step, wait until it has absorbed and then apply make-up. The green tint can reduce the amount of foundation needed to cover redness.
