2. Can I take folic acid if I am already taking prenatal multivitamins?
Most prenatal multivitamins already contain 400 µg of folic acid. In order not to exceed the recommended daily dose, check the composition of your multivitamins or consult a pharmacist before adding extra folic acid tablets.
