Curaprox Perio Plus Protect CHX 0.12% – 200 ml is an intensive mouth rinse for short-term oral care when gum problems or increased bacterial plaque require additional chemical plaque control. It combines 0.12% chlorhexidine digluconate with the Citrox®/P system.

Curaprox recommends Perio Plus Protect as antibacterial support in cases of gingivitis, periodontal problems, increased plaque accumulation and situations where mechanical oral hygiene is temporarily difficult, as well as following certain dental procedures when advised by a dental professional.

The alcohol-free formula combines CHX 0.12%, Citrox® bioflavonoids from bitter orange, polylysine, xylitol and VP/VA copolymer. The VP/VA component forms a protective film on teeth, gums and oral mucosa, supporting prolonged contact of the active ingredients with oral surfaces.

INCI: Aqua, Xylitol, Polysorbate 20, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Aroma, Phenoxyethanol, VP/VA Copolymer, Sucralose, Cetylpyridinium Chloride, Citric Acid, Citrus Aurantium Amara Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Polyepsilon-Lysine, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Chloride.

Directions: rinse with 10 ml of undiluted solution for 60 seconds, morning and evening. Spit out after rinsing. Do not swallow. Curaprox recommends use for up to 3 weeks, unless otherwise advised by your dentist.

Pharmacist's advice: chlorhexidine mouth rinse does not replace brushing and interdental cleaning. Use it for a defined period and preferably on dental advice. An SLS-free toothpaste such as Curaprox Enzycal is a practical choice during CHX use, because anionic toothpaste ingredients may reduce chlorhexidine activity. If an SLS-containing toothpaste is used, separate tooth brushing and CHX rinsing in time.
