Curaprox Perio Plus Balance CHX 0.05% – 200 ml is a specialised mouth rinse for additional chemical control of dental plaque and targeted gum care when a dental professional recommends support alongside regular mechanical oral hygiene.

The formula combines 0.05% chlorhexidine digluconate with the Citrox®/P system, sodium fluoride, xylitol and a VP/VA copolymer. The comparatively low CHX concentration makes Balance suitable for a longer targeted regimen than higher-concentration Perio Plus products when recommended by a dental professional.

It may be particularly useful for adults with increased plaque accumulation, gum problems, orthodontic appliances, implants or other situations where thorough mechanical oral hygiene is more difficult. The formula is alcohol-free.

INCI: Aqua, Xylitol, Polysorbate 20, Aroma, Phenoxyethanol, VP/VA Copolymer, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Sodium Fluoride, Sucralose, Cetylpyridinium Chloride, Citrus Aurantium Amara Fruit Extract, Polyepsilon-Lysine, Citric Acid, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Chloride.

Directions: rinse with 10 ml of undiluted solution for 60 seconds, morning and evening. Spit out after use and do not swallow. Curaprox indicates use for up to six months, or as individually advised by a dentist or dental hygienist.

Pharmacist's advice: chlorhexidine does not replace tooth brushing and interdental cleaning. During a CHX regimen, an SLS-free toothpaste such as Curaprox Enzycal is a practical choice. If an SLS-containing toothpaste is used, Curaprox recommends leaving at least 30 minutes between brushing and the chlorhexidine rinse.
