How does Weisser Riese Color liquid gel protect the colours of clothes during washing?

Weisser Riese Color is a liquid gel for washing coloured laundry by Henkel, in a 2500 ml pack. It is intended for coloured clothes – T-shirts, jeans, sportswear and children’s clothes – that you want to wash thoroughly while keeping the colours vivid for as long as possible.

According to the product description, the gel washes and removes stains from as low as 20 °C, with the best results at 20–60 °C. Unlike the Universal variant, the published declaration of Color gel does not list optical brighteners – ingredients that make white laundry shine but can change the shade of coloured fabrics. The formula contains surfactants, soap and enzymes for food stains.

In the region the 2.5 l pack is sold as Color gel declared for 50 washes; the dose is adjusted to soiling and water hardness according to the table on the bottle, and the cap serves as a measuring cup.

How to use

Wash coloured laundry separately from white, and wash dark and new coloured items on their own for the first few times. Turn clothes inside out, measure the dose with the cap according to the table on the bottle and pour it into the main wash compartment. Choose a temperature between 20 and 60 °C, according to the care label.

  • Do not overload the drum – laundry is rinsed less well.
  • Do not dry coloured clothes in direct sunlight.
  • Use a special detergent for wool and silk.

Who is it for?

For households that wash a lot of coloured clothing, including sportswear and children’s clothes. It is not intended for washing wool and silk; for white bed linen and towels the Universal gel is a better choice.

Important notes

  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Contains fragrance allergens and the preservative benzisothiazolinone.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes; if it happens, rinse with water.
  • Close the bottle tightly after use.

Pharmacist's advice:

Colours “run” mostly because of too high a temperature, overly long washes and an overloaded drum, not only because of the detergent. For most coloured clothes 30–40 °C with correct dosing is enough; more detergent does not mean cleaner laundry, only more residue on the fabric.

If someone in the family has atopic dermatitis or sensitive skin, note that Color gel contains several fragrance allergens (including geraniol and linalool) – add an extra rinse for such clothes or consider a fragrance-free detergent. Make sure children can never reach the bottle: the gel is brightly coloured and smells pleasant, so they may mistake it for juice.

For the territory of the Republic of Serbia:

For goods ordered up to 5.000,00 RSD, delivery charge is 350.00 RSD (VAT included). For goods over 5.000,00 RSD, shipping is free of charge.

For international delivery:

For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:

  • Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
  • Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD

For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
