How does Vanish Oxi Action Color Gel remove stains from coloured clothes without fading them?

Vanish Oxi Action Color Gel (the pink Vanish) is a chlorine-free stain remover for coloured laundry. It is based on oxygen bleach and surfactants, so it tackles stains without the colour-stripping effect of chlorine bleach, which should never be used on coloured fabrics.

The manufacturer describes it as a multi-action product: it removes stains such as coffee, red wine, tomato sauce and blood from 20 °C, helps prevent discolouration, removes odours and cleans hygienically. It is suitable for soaking, for pre-treating stains, or simply for adding to the detergent in the machine. The 500 ml bottle is a practical size for regular coloured washes.

Unlike the White variant, the colour formula is designed to be gentle on dyes; it contains no chlorine. Check the exact composition on the bottle you receive.

How to use

Follow the care label of the garment and test colourfastness and material compatibility on an inconspicuous spot first.

  • In the wash: add the dose stated on the bottle together with your detergent.
  • Pre-treatment: apply the gel directly to the stain, leave it briefly, then wash.
  • Soaking: dilute according to the label and soak the coloured items, then rinse and wash.
  • After treatment keep textiles away from heat sources until they are rinsed and washed.

Who is it for?

For coloured everyday clothes made of cotton and polyester – children's clothes, sportswear, table linen and coloured T-shirts with food or drink stains. Not for dry-clean-only garments or leather.

Pharmacist's advice:

Treat a fresh stain as soon as possible: rinse it from the back of the fabric with cold water first, then apply the gel – hot water fixes blood and protein stains. Do not rub hard on coloured fabric; gentle dabbing is enough and protects the dye.

Store the bottle tightly closed, upright and out of reach of children, ideally in a high cupboard, not under the sink. If gel gets into the eyes, rinse them with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if easy and call a doctor or poison centre straight away. Do not combine Vanish with other cleaning products in a soaking bowl.

1. What is the difference between Vanish Color and Vanish White?

The Color (pink) gel is intended for coloured fabrics, while the White gel is formulated for white laundry and also contains optical brighteners. Use each on the fabric type it is made for.

2. At what temperature does it work?

According to the manufacturer, the gel removes stains from 20 °C, so it can be used in cool and short programmes.

3. Can I use it on every coloured garment?

On washable cotton and polyester, yes. Always check the care label and test colourfastness first; it is not for dry-clean-only items or leather.

4. Does it contain chlorine?

No. It works with oxygen bleach and must not be mixed with chlorine-based products.

Pharmacy Online has a contract with the Daily Express courier service and it is delivered on the territory of the Republic of Serbia through this service. Exports of goods to foreign countries are done through DHL and PostExport.

For all orders received up to 12h from Monday to Friday, the approximate delivery time is 2-4 business days for the whole territory of the Republic of Serbia. Delivery of items purchased on the site www.apotekaonline.rs is made exclusively through the Daily Express courier service in the territory of the Republic of Serbia. Delivery outside the territory of the Republic of Serbia, ie export of goods, is done exclusively through the service of DHL and PostExport Post of Serbia.

For the territory of the Republic of Serbia:

For goods ordered up to 5.000,00 RSD, delivery charge is 350.00 RSD (VAT included). For goods over 5.000,00 RSD, shipping is free of charge.

For international delivery:

For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:

  • Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
  • Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD
  • Zone III (Asia, Africa, America, Australia and other countries) - 2,650.00 RSD

Delivery time is 15 days or more (depending on the country of delivery)

For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)

Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
