Sebamed Baby Gentle Wash (200 ml) is a mild emulsion for bathing and washing baby and children's skin. The formula does not sting the eyes (no tears) and has a pH of 5.5.
It contains allantoin, which helps protect the skin against dryness, and squalane. The manufacturer states that the formula supports the natural moisture balance of the child's skin.
Why pH 5.5 matters for baby skin
Baby skin is thinner than adult skin, and its protective acid mantle is still developing. Ordinary soaps are alkaline and can dry the skin. Sebamed Baby Gentle Wash cleanses mildly at pH 5.5, which makes it suitable for daily bathing.

Pharmacist advice for use
A few drops lathered with warm water in the palm are enough for a bath. Keep baths short, 5 to 10 minutes, in water of about 37 °C, and rinse the skin well.
After bathing, pat the skin dry gently, especially in the folds. If redness, flaking or itching does not go away, see a paediatrician.
Does Sebamed Baby Gentle Wash sting the eyes? No. The manufacturer describes it as a no-tears formula.
Can it be used every day? Yes, the mild pH 5.5 formula is intended for daily bathing.
