Turmeric – standardized to 95% curcuminoids

Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is a plant from the ginger family whose rhizome has long been used as a spice and botanical raw material.

OstroVit uses a standardized turmeric rhizome extract rather than ordinary turmeric powder. One tablet contains 300 mg of extract, of which 95% consists of curcuminoids, providing 285 mg of curcuminoids.

Ginger – standardized to 5% gingerols

The second botanical ingredient is ginger root extract – Zingiber officinale. One tablet contains 100 mg of extract standardized to 5% gingerols.

This means that one recommended daily serving provides 5 mg of gingerols, characteristic polyphenolic compounds found in ginger.

Black pepper – standardized to 95% piperine

The formula also contains 2.1 mg of black pepper fruit extract – Piper nigrum, standardized to 95% piperine.

One tablet therefore provides 2 mg of piperine, a characteristic alkaloid naturally occurring in the outer layer of black pepper fruit.
