L-leucine is one of the three branched-chain amino acids – BCAA, together with L-isoleucine and L-valine. It is an essential amino acid and therefore needs to be obtained through the diet.

L-leucine is an essential branched-chain amino acid naturally present in protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, soy, almonds and peanuts.

Solubility and taste: natural L-leucine has relatively low water solubility and a characteristic bitter taste. This is a normal property of the raw material.

This product is intended for users who specifically want isolated L-leucine. Standard BCAA products additionally provide isoleucine and valine, while EAA formulas provide a broader spectrum of essential amino acids.

Isolated leucine does not replace an adequate intake of complete dietary protein. Sufficient energy, protein and all essential amino acids remain the foundation of sports nutrition.
