Myfortic is a medicine that contains the active substance mycophenolate mofetil. It is used as an immunosuppressant in combination with cyclosporine and corticosteroids to prevent rejection of transplanted kidneys. It acts by inhibiting the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes, reducing the activity of the immune system and preventing rejection of the transplanted organ.
The dose of the drug is determined individually, but the usual recommended dose is 720 mg twice a day, which corresponds to 1 g of mycophenolate mofetil per day. The medicine should be taken on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after a meal, in order to ensure proper absorption. Tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing or crushing.
The use of Myfortic can cause a variety of side effects, including:
Gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting or constipation.
A decrease in the number of white blood cells and/or platelets, which can increase the risk of infections and bleeding.
Increased risk of serious infections, including cytomegalovirus (CMV), herpes simplex, candidiasis, and other opportunistic infections.
An increase in blood lipid levels, which can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.
An increase in blood sugar levels, which can worsen diabetes control.
The use of Myfortic is contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Women who can become pregnant should use at least two reliable methods of contraception during treatment and for another six weeks after stopping treatment. Men using Myfortic should use condoms during treatment and for 90 days after stopping treatment.
Before using the medicine, tell your doctor if you have or have ever had a digestive tract disorder, such as a stomach ulcer, or if you have a rare hereditary hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HGPRT) enzyme deficiency, such as Lesch-Nyhan syndrome.
Regular laboratory analyzes of blood and urine are necessary to monitor the effectiveness of therapy and detect possible side effects.

For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
