MioThyrox 30 softgel capsules – myo-inositol, selenium and zinc for nutritional thyroid support

Pharmacist’s advice

MioThyrox should be considered only when there is a clear reason for introducing it. Fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, sensitivity to cold and mood changes do not prove that a thyroid disorder is present. Medical assessment and appropriate laboratory testing are required, usually including TSH and FT4 and, when indicated, FT3, anti-TPO and anti-Tg antibodies.

The product already provides 100 mcg of selenium. Do not routinely combine it with OptiSel, ThyroSel, multivitamins or other thyroid supplements without calculating the total daily selenium and zinc intake.

When taking levothyroxine, take the medicine on its own on an empty stomach. MioThyrox must not be used as a replacement for prescribed treatment or taken together with the medicine without professional advice.
