How does MartiDerm Exfoliante Corporal body scrub renew the skin and how often should it be used?

MartiDerm Exfoliante Corporal is a cream body scrub from the Body Care line of the Spanish brand MartiDerm. Its creamy texture contains exfoliating particles that remove dead skin cells and impurities from the surface of the skin, leaving it cleaner, smoother and softer to the touch.

According to the manufacturer and authorised retailers, the scrub combines mechanical exfoliation – silica granules and aluminium oxide – with salicylic acid, which helps renew the outer layer of the skin. Regular exfoliation helps even out the look of the skin, prepares it for the care products that follow and helps self-tanner or a natural tan look more even.

The scrub is used on damp skin in the shower, only once or twice a week. It is dermatologically tested and comes in a 200 ml tube, which makes it easy to include in a weekly body-care routine.

More is not better with exfoliation: once or twice a week is enough, and gentle pressure works as well as hard rubbing. Plan the scrub a day or two before applying self-tanner and avoid it right after shaving or waxing, when the skin is more sensitive. Freshly exfoliated skin absorbs care well, so apply a body lotion immediately after the shower, and protect exposed areas with sunscreen in the sunny months.
