How does MartiDerm DSP Renovation cream work on dark spots overnight?

MartiDerm DSP Renovation Cream (Crema Renovación) is a depigmenting renewal cream from the Pigment Zero DSP line, designed for the evening treatment of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. It evens out the skin tone, brightens the complexion and helps prevent spots from appearing or coming back.

What sets it apart from the serum of the same line is its 10% content of alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). They gently exfoliate the surface layer of the skin and boost cell renewal, so the skin looks smoother and brighter. At the same time, the cream contains the same depigmenting complex as the rest of the DSP line: hexylresorcinol, phytic acid, genistein and daisy extract (Bellis perennis).

The cream has a light, fast-absorbing texture and can be applied to the whole face or only to the areas you want to treat. It is used in the evening, because AHAs make the skin more sensitive to the sun, and it must be combined with daily sun protection.

How to use

Who is it for?

The cream is intended for adults with dark spots and uneven skin tone, such as sun spots, age spots, melasma-type spots and marks left after acne (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). It suits people who want a more intensive treatment than a serum alone.

Important notes

AHAs increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun – daily sun protection is essential while using the cream and for some time after.
A slight tingling may occur at the start of use. Do not apply to irritated, sunburnt or broken skin, and avoid the eye area. Stop using it if irritation persists.
Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Have any new spot or a spot that changes shape, size or colour checked by a doctor before treating it cosmetically.

The cream is meant for evening use, because alpha hydroxy acids make the skin more sensitive to the sun. In the morning, use a sunscreen with a high SPF instead.

3. Is a slight tingling normal?

Products with AHAs may cause a slight tingling, especially at the beginning. If redness or burning persists, reduce how often you use the cream or stop using it.

4. How does it differ from the DSP serum?
