What does Lifeline OsteoSTOP K2 contain and how is it taken?

OsteoSTOP K2 from the Lifeline range of the manufacturer Blagoleks (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a food supplement in tablet form that combines four nutrients important for bones: calcium, magnesium, vitamin D3 and vitamin K2.

The daily dose of two tablets provides 500 mg of calcium, 400 mg of magnesium, 10 µg of vitamin D3 and 45 µg of vitamin K2. Calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and vitamin K contribute to the maintenance of normal bones, and vitamin D also contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium.

The pack contains 30 tablets, which is enough for 15 days at the recommended intake of one tablet in the morning and one in the evening. Because of vitamin K2, the product must not be used together with coumarin anticoagulants such as warfarin.

Who is it for?

OsteoSTOP K2 is intended for adults who want to supplement their diet with calcium, magnesium and vitamins D3 and K2 – for example women after menopause, older people or anyone with low intake of dairy products. It is not intended for children.

Important notes

Must not be used with coumarin anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin) – vitamin K affects their action.
If you take prescribed medicines, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any ingredient.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Keep out of the reach of children.

Calcium and magnesium can reduce the absorption of some medicines, such as thyroid hormone, certain antibiotics and bisphosphonates. Take OsteoSTOP K2 at least 2–4 hours apart from these medicines, and check with us if you are not sure.

If you already take a separate vitamin D or calcium preparation, add up the total daily intake before adding this product. Regular walking, strength exercises and enough protein in the diet are just as important for bones as supplements; ask your doctor about a bone density test if you have risk factors for osteoporosis.
