How does the Chicco cube-shaped musical projector help a baby relax and fall asleep?

The Chicco Rainbow Cube is a musical projector and night light from Chicco's First Dreams line, designed to soothe babies and create a relaxing atmosphere before sleep. It is shaped like a small cube with a plush figure on top and projects light scenes onto the wall or ceiling of the nursery.

The projector offers three projections and seven calming colour effects – according to retailers, more than 90 light combinations – and each projection is accompanied by a melody. The light can be used with or without music, so the cube also serves as a soft night light as the baby grows.

This item is the blue version; the same projector is also available in pink. It is made by Artsana S.p.A. (Chicco), Italy, and runs on three 1.5 V AA batteries, which are not included.

Key benefits:

Wall or ceiling projections that catch the baby's attention and help them calm down.
Seven calming colour effects and more than 90 light combinations.
Melodies from different music genres with each projection.
The light can be used without music as a soft night light.
Suitable from birth, according to the retailer.

Active ingredients and features

Features of the projector according to Chicco retailers:

Light	Seven colour effects, more than 90 light combinations
Sound	Melodies from different music genres
Power supply	3 × 1.5 V AA batteries (not included)
Age	From birth
Colour	Blue (also available in pink)

How to use

Before first use, read the manufacturer's instructions in the package. An adult inserts the batteries into the compartment, observing the polarity. Place the projector on a stable surface, for example a chest of drawers or a shelf, pointing at the wall or ceiling and out of the baby's reach. Choose the projection, light and melody you want, and once the baby is asleep, switch the projector off or leave only the soft light on.

Who is it for?

The projector is intended for babies from birth and for parents who want to establish a calming bedtime ritual – dimmed light, projections and gentle music. As the child grows, the cube can serve as a night light in the nursery.

Important notes

Batteries must be inserted and replaced by an adult only; the battery cover must be firmly closed.
Place the projector out of the baby's reach on a stable surface – not inside the cot.
Remove used batteries and dispose of them in line with the regulations for electronic waste.

Pharmacist's advice:

Babies fall asleep more easily when the same ritual is repeated every evening: bath, feed, dimmed light and a quiet melody. Switch the projector on as part of this ritual, but do not place it too close to the baby and choose a quieter melody – the aim is relaxation, not extra stimulation. If you notice that the projections wake your baby up rather than calm them down, use only the soft night light without music.
