Products which they drink - page 11

Liquid oral care products are products used as an additional step in everyday dental hygiene. This category includes mouth rinses that belong to the Oral hygiene category and are intended for gum care, enamel support, fresh breath and better hygiene of the oral cavity.

It is important to note that mouth rinses are not intended to be drunk or swallowed. They are used for rinsing the mouth and then spat out, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. They can be a useful additional step after brushing with a toothbrush and toothpaste, especially for people who want a more complete oral hygiene routine.

The choice of product should be adapted to the condition of teeth, gums and individual needs. In cases of bleeding gums, pain, increased sensitivity, persistent bad breath or visible changes in the mouth, a dental check-up is recommended.

Pharmacist’s advice

Use mouth rinse according to the manufacturer’s instructions and do not swallow it. It does not replace brushing with a toothbrush and toothpaste, but is an additional step in oral hygiene. Children, people with swallowing difficulties or sensitive oral mucosa should use such products with additional caution. If you have bleeding gums, pain, persistent bad breath, swelling, sores or changes in the gums or teeth, consult a dentist. Ljubica Barbulović, Master of Pharmacy
