Pharmacist's advice

Aloxi is given once, half an hour before chemotherapy, and works preventively. If you take antidepressants or heart rhythm medicines, tell your oncologist and the nursing staff before treatment.

Constipation and headache are common after the injection – drink enough fluids, and for dry mouth frequent sips of water and dry-mouth gels help. If nausea appears in the days after chemotherapy, do not take anything on your own; contact your doctor.
