Zyprexa VelotabTM belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics.

Zyprexa VelotabTM is used to treat conditions with symptoms of hearing, seeing or feeling things that are not there, false beliefs, unusual suspiciousness and withdrawal. People with this condition may also feel depressed, anxious or tense.

Zyprexa VelotabTM is used to treat conditions with symptoms such as a feeling of "floating", a feeling of excess energy, significantly less need for sleep than usual, rapid speech with crazy ideas and sometimes severe irritability. It is also used as a mood stabilizer that prevents the occurrence of disabling extreme feelings, both high and low (depressive) caused by this disease.


You must not use Zyprexa VelotabTM:


if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to olanzapine or any of the other ingredients of Zyprexa VelotabTM. Allergic reactions can occur as a rash, itching, swelling of the face and lips or shortness of breath. If this happens to you, contact your doctor.

if you have previously been diagnosed with an eye problem such as certain types of glaucoma (high eye pressure).

When taking Zyprexa VelotabTM, take special care:


Medicines of this type can cause unusual movements, mainly of the face and tongue. If this happens to you after using Zyprexa VelotabTM, contact your doctor.

Very rarely, drugs of this type can cause a combination of fever, rapid breathing, sweating, muscle stiffness, and lightheadedness and sleepiness. If this happens to you, contact your doctor.

The use of Zyprexa VelotabTM in elderly patients with dementia is not recommended as it may have serious side effects.

Be sure to tell your doctor if you suffer from any of the conditions listed below:


Diabetes

Heart disease

Liver or kidney disease

Parkinson's disease

Epilepsy

Prostate problems

Intestinal blockage (paralytic ileus)

A blood disorder

Stroke or transient stroke symptoms

If you suffer from dementia, you or your guardian/relative should tell the doctor if you have ever had a stroke or transient symptoms of a stroke.

As a routine preventive measure, if you are over 65, your doctor should monitor your blood pressure. Zyprexa VelotabTM should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Administration of other drugs

Please note that this information may also apply to medicines you are no longer taking, as well as medicines you plan to take in the future. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, as they may interact.

While using Zyprexa VelotabTM, do not take other medicines unless your doctor has told you to. You may feel drowsy if you take Zyprexa VelotabTM together with antidepressants or medicines you have taken for anxiety or to help you fall asleep (tranquilizers).

Be sure to tell your doctor if you are using fluvoxamine (an antidepressant) or ciprofloxacin (an antibiotic), as it may be necessary to change the dose of Zyprexa VelotabTM.

It is especially important to tell your doctor if you are using medicines against Parkinson's disease.


Do not drink alcohol while on Zyprexa VelotabTM therapy as they can combine to make you feel drowsy.


Application of Zyprexa VelotabTM during pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Tell your doctor as soon as possible if you remain in a different state, or if you think you are pregnant. You must not take this medicine during pregnancy, unless you have previously consulted with your doctor. You must not use this medicine during breastfeeding, as a small amount of Zyprexa VelotabTM passes into breast milk.

Effect of Zyprexa VelotabTM on driving and using machines

There is a risk of feeling dizzy when using Zyprexa VelotabTM. if this happens to you, do not drive or operate machinery. Tell your doctor about it.


Important information about some of the ingredients in Zyprexa VelotabTM

Patients who cannot take phenylalanine should not use Zyprexa VelotabTM as it contains aspartame which is a source of phenylalanine. It can be harmful in people with phenylketonuria.

Patients who cannot take mannitol should take care as Zyprexa VelotabTM contains mannitol.

Zyprexa VelotabTM contains sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate and sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions in some people. Allergic reactions can occur as rash, itching or shortness of breath. They may occur immediately after administration or some time after taking Zyprexa VelotabTM.


Method of use:

Always take Zyprexa VelotabTM exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

Your doctor will tell you how many Zyprexa VelotabTM tablets to take and how long you should continue the therapy. The daily dose of Zyprexa VelotabTM is between 5 and 20 mg. P

For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:

  • Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
  • Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD
  • Zone III (Asia, Africa, America, Australia and other countries) - 2,650.00 RSD

Delivery time is 15 days or more (depending on the country of delivery)

For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)

Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
