How does SVR Topialyse Barrier cream protect irritated and atopic-prone skin?

SVR Topialyse Barrier (Crème Barrière) is a protective repair cream from the Topialyse line of the French dermocosmetic laboratory SVR, created for dry skin with an atopic tendency. It is intended for localised areas that are most exposed to irritation – the hands, parts of the face and body and skin folds – and protects them from everyday mechanical and chemical aggressions such as detergents, cleaning products and friction.

The formula combines omega 3, 6 and 9 from crambe and camelina oils, a phytosterol complex, high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, glycyrrhizic acid and a regulating peptide from rice protein. According to the manufacturer, these ingredients help restore and strengthen the skin barrier, soothe the feeling of scratching and form a protective film without occluding the skin.

The texture is non-sticky, absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy film, and the cream is water-resistant, so protection lasts even with frequent hand washing. Topialyse Barrier is fragrance-free, alcohol-free and paraben-free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and tested under dermatological control.

How to use

Who is it for?

Important notes

Apply Topialyse Barrier before washing dishes or cleaning, and wear cotton-lined gloves for longer work in water. Because the cream is water-resistant, a thin layer is enough to keep protection after a quick hand wash.

After each wash, dry your hands by patting rather than rubbing and reapply the cream to the areas that tend to crack – between the fingers and on the backs of the hands. If the skin becomes red, weeps, cracks deeply or the itching disturbs your sleep, consult a dermatologist, as eczema may need medical treatment.
