Sodium picosulfate is a laxative used to treat constipation (constipation) and to prepare the bowel before diagnostic procedures such as colonoscopy or surgery. It has a stimulating effect on intestinal peristalsis, increasing bowel motility and facilitating emptying.
Method of administration and dosage
For adults: it is usually taken 5–10 mg once a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed. The effect usually occurs 6–12 hours after administration.
For children: the dose depends on age and body weight. Consultation with a pediatrician is recommended before use.
Drug form: it is available as an oral solution, tablet or powder for solution.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, sodium picosulfate can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most commonly reported side effects include:
diarrhea
stomach pains or cramps
dizziness
nausea
dehydration

Contraindications and warnings
Sodium picosulfate should not be used if you have:
allergy to sodium picosulfate or any of the excipients
intestinal blockage or disorder of normal bowel movement (ileus)
acute abdominal pain with fever and nausea
acute inflammatory bowel diseases (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
severe dehydration
serious disorders of kidney function
Before use, tell your doctor if you have any of these disorders.
Interactions with other drugs
Sodium picosulfate can affect the absorption of other drugs, so it is recommended not to take it at the same time as other drugs. Also, it may increase the risk of dehydration when used with diuretics or corticosteroids.
Notes
Do not use for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor.
Drink plenty of fluids during use to avoid dehydration.
If symptoms persist or worsen, see a doctor.

For goods ordered up to 5.000,00 RSD, delivery charge is 260.00 RSD (VAT included). For goods over 5.000,00 RSD, shipping is free of charge.
For international delivery:
For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:
- Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
- Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD
- Zone III (Asia, Africa, America, Australia and other countries) - 2,650.00 RSD
Delivery time is 15 days or more (depending on the country of delivery)
For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
