How are Pino Jungle dominoes with animal pictures played?

Pino Jungle dominoes (Serbian „Domine Džungla“, item number 4098.2, EAN 8606009255926) are wooden picture dominoes from the Serbian brand Pino. Instead of dots, the tiles show animal pictures, so even a child who cannot count yet can play – it is enough to recognise the same animal.

The set has 28 wooden tiles and measures 18.5 x 10 x 5 cm. On the English version of its website the maker lists this item as „Dominoes (28 pieces) Animals“, and retailers also call it „Domine – Životinje“. The recommended age is 3 years and up.

Key benefits:

28 wooden tiles with animal pictures in the Jungle set.
The rule is simple: a tile with the same animal is added to the picture on the table.
Two players or a larger group – the 4098.2 dominoes also work as a family game.
Natural wood, water-based paints and smooth edges, as declared by the retailer.
Pino gives an age of 3 years for the animal dominoes.

How to play and care

The tiles of the Jungle dominoes are dealt out and the first one is placed on the table. Players then take turns adding a tile whose picture matches the animal at the end of the line; whoever places all their tiles first wins.

Wipe the Pino animal dominoes with a dry or slightly damp cloth, as the retailer advises, and put all 28 tiles back in the pack after play.

Who is it for?

Pino recommends the Jungle dominoes for children from 3 years. Because the game uses pictures rather than numbers, the 4098.2 set also suits children who are just learning to play by rules, together with a parent, siblings or friends.

Important notes

Age mark for the 4098.2 dominoes: 3 years and up – keep the tiles away from younger children.
Before play, check that the animal tiles are whole and free of cracks.
Do not soak the wooden tiles in water.

Pharmacist's advice:

With animal picture dominoes I suggest that in the first rounds an adult names each animal the child lays down – the game stays short and the child follows the matching rule more easily.
