Phyto Phytopanama Balancing Shampoo 250 ml is a gentle cleansing shampoo developed for oily scalps and hair that becomes greasy quickly. It removes impurities, styling-product residue and excess sebum without unnecessarily weighing down the hair lengths.

The formula contains Panama soapbark extract – Quillaja saponaria – together with Sichuan pepper fruit extract, glycerin, xylitol and lactitol. Hair feels clean, lighter, softer and more manageable after washing.

Pharmacist’s advice Apply shampoo mainly to the scalp, where sebum and most residue accumulate. There is no need to rub the hair lengths aggressively; the foam passing through them during rinsing is usually sufficient. Use lukewarm rather than very hot water, as heat may increase discomfort and dry out the lengths.

An oily scalp may be washed as often as genuinely required, provided that a suitable gentle shampoo is used. Apply conditioner, masks and oils only to the lengths and ends. Seek dermatological advice for marked itching, redness, sores, greasy buildup, unpleasant odour, significant flaking or increased hair loss.

Directions and important information

First application: apply a small amount to wet hair and scalp, massage gently with the fingertips, lather and rinse.

Second application: reapply, massage gently, leave on for approximately two minutes and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Frequency: use as required. The formula is designed for frequent washing and may be used daily when well tolerated.

Amount: a large amount is unnecessary. Concentrate the shampoo on the scalp and allow the foam to pass through the lengths while rinsing.

Hair and scalp type: intended for an oily scalp, rapidly greasy roots and hair that quickly loses its fresh, lightweight feel.

Oily roots and dry ends: apply shampoo only to the scalp and conditioner or a mask only to the lengths and ends.

Oily dandruff: Phytopanama is not a targeted anti-dandruff shampoo. Greasy yellowish flakes, itching or redness require a dedicated product or dermatological advice.

Important: Phytopanama 250 ml is an older formula that has been discontinued in numerous markets. Phyto Sebum Control is the current PHYTO alternative for oily scalps.
