Phlebodia 600 mg is a venotonic and vasoprotective medicine containing 600 mg of diosmin per film-coated tablet.
It is used in adults to relieve symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, including heavy, painful and tired legs, and for short-term symptomatic treatment of acute haemorrhoidal syndrome.
Phlebodia is available in packs of 15 and 30 tablets. Both pack sizes contain the same strength and have the same approved dosage.
Phlebodia is not a treatment for deep-vein thrombosis. Sudden swelling of one leg, marked pain, redness or warmth requires urgent medical assessment.
For acute haemorrhoids, treatment without further medical review must not exceed seven days. Persistent or heavy bleeding and severe pain require examination.
Phlebodia 600 mg – uses, dosage and precautions
Approved uses
- symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency;
- heavy, painful and tired legs associated with impaired venous circulation;
- short-term symptomatic treatment of acute haemorrhoidal syndrome.
For venous symptoms, treatment should be combined with regular walking, avoidance of prolonged standing and excessive heat, appropriate weight management and medical compression hosiery when professionally recommended.

Swallow the tablet with approximately half a glass of water. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed tablet.
Contraindications and precautions
Do not use if allergic to diosmin or another ingredient. The tablets contain cochineal red A – E124, which may cause an allergic reaction.
Medical assessment is required for sudden one-sided leg swelling, severe calf pain, warmth or redness along a vein, a poorly healing leg ulcer, chest pain or sudden breathlessness.
Haemorrhoidal symptoms require examination if bleeding is heavy or persistent, pain is severe, symptoms recur frequently or there is no improvement within seven days.
Other medicines
No clinically significant medicine interactions have been reported in the current product information. Nevertheless, tell the doctor or pharmacist about all regular medicines and supplements.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Information about diosmin use during pregnancy is limited. As a precaution, use during pregnancy should be avoided unless a doctor considers treatment necessary.
It is not known whether diosmin or its metabolites pass into breast milk. Use during breastfeeding is not recommended without medical assessment.
Possible side effects
- Common: stomach pain.
- Uncommon: bloating, diarrhoea, indigestion, nausea, rash, itching, hives and swelling of the face or throat.
- Rare: vomiting.
- swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat;
- difficulty breathing or swallowing;
- heavy or continuous rectal bleeding;
- sudden painful swelling of one leg;
- chest pain or sudden breathlessness.

Phlebodia is supplied without a prescription in Serbia, but medicines cannot be ordered through the online shop. Check the availability and price of the 15- or 30-tablet pack directly with a pharmacy.
For heavy legs, combine treatment with regular walking, breaks during prolonged sitting or standing and rest with the legs slightly elevated.
For haemorrhoids, adequate fluid and fibre intake may help keep stools soft. Recurrent bleeding or severe pain should not be managed by extending self-treatment.

Pharmacy Online has a contract with the Daily Express courier service and it is delivered on the territory of the Republic of Serbia through this service. Exports of goods to foreign countries are done through DHL and PostExport.
