OTOGLOBE
Otoglobe is a medical device brand specializing in non-surgical treatments for middle ear ventilation disorders. Its best-known product is a nasal balloon that allows equalization of pressure in the middle ear, which is useful for conditions such as Eustachian tube dysfunction, otitis media, or hearing problems caused by pressure changes, such as during flight or diving.
Otoglobe devices are clinically effective and have no known side effects. They are suitable for adults and children over the age of 2 or 3, depending on the model. The product is used by placing the balloon on a plastic adapter, which is then placed in one nostril, while the other nostril is closed with a finger. The user takes a deep breath, keeps the mouth closed and blows out the balloon until it reaches the size of a grapefruit. A characteristic "click" should be felt in the ear, which indicates successful pressure equalization.
