What does Original Swedish Bitters 250 ml contain and how is it taken?
Original Swedish Bitters is a traditional herbal elixir from the Serbian manufacturer "Priroda na dar", prepared according to the so-called great formula of Dr Paracelsus (Elixir ad vitam longam). It is produced in small batches, and the bottle contains 250 ml of liquid extract.
Like other bitters, it is based on a combination of bitter and aromatic herbs. The ingredients include, among others, gentian, angelica, rhubarb, senna, ginger, turmeric, saffron, St John's wort, yarrow and valerian, as well as wine, which serves as the base of the extract.
The elixir is taken in small amounts – as drops diluted in water – so one bottle lasts a long time. Because of the large number of herbs in the formula, it is important to check the precautions listed below before use.
Key benefits:
- Traditional recipe based on the great formula of Dr Paracelsus.
- A combination of more than 20 herbal ingredients.
- Made in Serbia in small batches.
- Economical use – taken as drops.
- 250 ml bottle.

Pharmacist's advice:
Swedish bitters is a complex herbal blend and not a harmless "tea in drops". If you regularly take any medicines – especially blood thinners, heart or blood pressure medicines, diuretics, corticosteroids or hormonal contraception – consult a pharmacist before use, as St John's wort and other herbs in the formula can affect how medicines work.
Start with the preventive dose of 25 drops diluted in a glass of water and do not extend use on your own. Bitters should not be used as a substitute for treatment: if you have digestive or liver complaints or any chronic illness, see a doctor first.
