How to choose concealer?

Concealer for dark circles is usually selected according to the color of the circles and the skin type around the eyes. The under-eye area is thin and prone to dryness, so it is better to apply a small amount of product and prepare the skin well with hydrating care.

For spots, post-acne marks and redness, concealer should be pigmented enough but still blend nicely with the complexion. It is important to choose a shade that matches the skin tone so the coverage does not look artificial or too light.

With dry and sensitive skin, avoid overly matte and heavy textures that can emphasize lines, flaking or unevenness. With oily skin, light setting with powder may be useful, but without overdoing it.

How to use concealer properly?

Concealer is applied to clean and prepared skin after moisturizing care, most often after foundation or tinted cream. A small amount of product is applied directly to the area, then gently tapped in with a finger, brush or blender.

For a more natural look, it is better to apply a thin layer and add more if needed, rather than applying too much at once. Around the under-eye area, avoid pulling the skin and do not apply concealer too close to the lash line if the product enters the eye or causes tearing.

Concealer, dark circles and spots

Concealer can visually reduce the appearance of dark circles, spots and redness, but it does not solve the underlying cause. If dark circles are caused by genetics, facial anatomy, lack of sleep or pigmentation, concealer effect may be limited, but it can significantly improve the makeup look.

With spots and post-acne marks, concealer should be combined with good daily skin care and SPF protection. Sun exposure can darken spots further, so coverage without skin protection does not give a good long-term result.

With dry skin, apply hydrating care first, and with blemish-prone skin make sure application tools are clean. If concealer causes stinging, itching, redness, watery eyes, pimples or irritation, stop use and check the ingredients.
