Nutriversum Enzyme and Fibre 120 Capsules is a food supplement combining five sources of dietary fibre, inulin and three digestive enzymes – papain, bromelain and lactase. The formula is intended for adults looking for a convenient combination of fibre and enzymes as part of their daily digestive routine.
One serving of 2 capsules contains 1,585mg of a fibre blend from oats, wheat, apple, bamboo and orange, 180.5mg inulin, together with 360µg each of papain, bromelain and lactase. When used according to the listed regimen of 2 capsules twice daily, the daily amount provides 3,170mg fibre blend + 361mg inulin and a total of 2,160µg of the three enzymes.
Papain and bromelain are proteolytic enzymes, while lactase participates in the breakdown of lactose. Inulin and plant fibres provide additional sources of dietary fibre. The product should nevertheless not be viewed as a replacement for a varied diet rich in vegetables, fruit, whole grains and other natural sources of fibre.

Important note about the enzyme declaration
Some product descriptions state “1,080µg enzymes per daily serving”. However, the declaration table shows that 1,080µg applies to 2 capsules: 360µg papain + 360µg bromelain + 360µg lactase.
When the listed regimen of 2 capsules twice daily is followed, the total daily mass of the three enzymes is 2,160µg. For this reason, this description follows the declaration table rather than the shortened marketing statement.
What does the fibre blend contain?
The formula combines oat fibre, wheat bran, apple fibre, bamboo fibre and orange fibre. Chicory-derived inulin is added separately.
The daily amount of 4 capsules provides 3,170mg of the declared fibre blend plus an additional 361mg inulin. This amount should be viewed as a supplement to the diet rather than a replacement for the recommended daily intake of fibre from food.
Papain, bromelain and lactase – what is the difference?
Papain is a proteolytic enzyme originating from papaya, while bromelain is an enzyme obtained from pineapple. These enzymes break peptide bonds under appropriate conditions.
Lactase breaks down the milk sugar lactose. The presence of lactase in a supplement does not mean that the product can replace an individually dosed lactase preparation for every person with lactose intolerance, as enzyme activity, the amount of lactose in a meal and individual tolerance are all relevant.
Directions
- take 2 capsules twice daily before the two largest meals;
- according to the manufacturer's directions, 2 capsules may be taken before a lactose-containing meal when required;
- the manufacturer also lists the option of taking 2 capsules before a protein shake or another protein-rich meal;
- take the capsules with sufficient water;
- do not exceed the recommended daily amount stated on the physical label.
Who may find it suitable?
- adults looking for a combination of digestive enzymes and fibre;
- people whose diet contains few sources of dietary fibre;
- users who want additional inulin in their daily diet;
- people who use protein shakes and want an enzyme formula alongside meals;
- people who occasionally consume lactose-containing foods and want a product containing lactase;
- users who prefer capsules without the need to prepare a drink.
Lactase is not a treatment for milk allergy
Lactase acts on lactose, the sugar found in milk. It does not break down milk proteins that cause milk allergy.
People with milk-protein allergy should therefore not use lactase as a way to make foods containing problematic milk allergens safe for them.
Important information
- contains wheat bran and is therefore not suitable for people who must strictly avoid gluten;
- contains oat fibre;
- the capsule is made from gelatin, so the product is neither vegan nor vegetarian;
- fibre and inulin may temporarily increase gas or bloating in sensitive people, particularly when previous fibre intake was low;
- caution is appropriate in people with significant papaya or pineapple allergy because of papain and bromelain;
- the product is not a medicine or treatment for irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, lactose intolerance or other gastrointestinal diseases;
- people with chronic digestive diseases or regular medication should consult a healthcare professional;
- pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use;
- do not exceed the recommended daily intake;
- keep out of reach of young children.
When do digestive symptoms require medical assessment?
If bloating or changes in bowel habits are persistent, severe or accompanied by significant pain, blood in the stool, unexplained weight loss, fever, frequent vomiting or other unusual symptoms, simply adding food supplements is not enough – the cause should be assessed by a doctor.
Pharmacist's advice
With this product it is important to distinguish one serving from the full daily amount. Two capsules provide a total of 1,080µg of the three enzymes, while four capsules provide 2,160µg.
Fibre intake should be accompanied by adequate fluid intake. If the previous diet contained little fibre, a sudden increase may temporarily worsen gas or bloating in some people.
If the main issue is specifically lactose intolerance, a product with clearly declared lactase activity may allow more precise dosing according to the amount of lactose in a particular meal.
Digestive enzymes and fibre can form part of a well-planned diet, but persistent digestive symptoms should not automatically be attributed to an “enzyme deficiency” without evaluating their cause.
