Neo-Penotran is a vaginal suppository used to treat vaginal infections caused by fungi, bacteria and protozoa. It is available in various formulations, including Neo-Penotran Classic, Neo-Penotran Forte and Neo-Penotran Forte L.
Composition:
Neo-Penotran Classic: Each suppository contains 500 mg metronidazole and 100 mg miconazole nitrate.
Neo-Penotran Forte: Each suppository contains 750 mg metronidazole and 200 mg miconazole nitrate.
Neo-Penotran Forte L: Each suppository contains 750 mg metronidazole, 200 mg miconazole nitrate and 100 mg lidocaine.
Indications:
This medicine is used to treat vaginal infections caused by various pathogens, including:
Candida albicans (vaginal candidiasis)
Trichomonas vaginalis (trichomonal vaginitis)
Gardnerella vaginalis and anaerobic bacteria (bacterial vaginosis)
Mixed vaginal infections
Method of application:
The suppository is inserted deep into the vagina in the evening, for 7 days. In case of recurrence or when the infection did not respond to the previous treatment, the therapy can be extended to 14 days. The suppository is placed in the supine position using the application fingers provided.

Local irritations, burning or itching in the vagina
Stomach pains
Headache
Allergic reactions, such as skin rashes
Rare side effects may include:
Leukopenia (decrease in the number of white blood cells)
Movement disorders
Taste disturbances
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
Contraindications:
Neo-Penotran is contraindicated in the following cases:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug
First trimester of pregnancy
Porphyria
Epilepsy
Severe disorders of liver function
Children and adolescents under 18 years of age ([Vinmec International Hospital][1])
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding:
The use of Neo-Penotran during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be carefully considered. Metronidazole and lidocaine are classified as category B drugs, while miconazole is classified as category C. It is recommended that the drug be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit exceeds the potential risk to the fetus. During breastfeeding, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding during treatment, as metronidazole passes into breast milk.
Storage of the medicine:
The medicine should be stored at a temperature of up to 25°C, protected from light and moisture, and out of the reach of children.

For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
