Metalyse is a medicine that is used in emergency situations to dissolve blood clots, most often in myocardial infarction (heart attack) and acute ischemic stroke. Its active substance is tenecteplase, which belongs to a group of medicines known as thrombolytics or "clot-busting medicines".
Tenecteplase helps restore blood flow by breaking down fibrin clots in blood vessels, thereby reducing damage to the heart or brain and increasing the chance of survival. When is it used?
Metalyse is used in two key cases:
Acute myocardial infarction - the drug is given within the first 6 hours of the onset of symptoms (chest pain, suffocation, sweating).
Acute ischemic stroke - used in the first 4.5 hours from the onset of neurological symptoms (weakness on one side of the body, speech disorder, loss of consciousness), but only if the presence of bleeding in the brain is excluded.
How is it applied?
Metalyse is given intravenously, in a single dose, over several seconds. The dose depends on the patient's body weight, and the maximum dose is 50 mg. The drug is administered exclusively in hospital conditions, under the supervision of a specialist doctor.
Possible side effects
Like all thrombolytic medicines, Metalyse can cause bleeding, which can be mild (eg from the nose or gums), but in rare cases can be serious, including internal or brain bleeding. Reactions such as low blood pressure, heart rhythm disturbances, nausea, allergic reactions and in very rare cases anaphylactic shock are also possible.

For the territory of the Republic of Serbia:
For goods ordered up to 5.000,00 RSD, delivery charge is 260.00 RSD (VAT included). For goods over 5.000,00 RSD, shipping is free of charge.
For international delivery:
For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:
- Zone I (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia) - 1,280.00 RSD
- Zone II (Other European countries) - 1,790.00 RSD
- Zone III (Asia, Africa, America, Australia and other countries) - 2,650.00 RSD
Delivery time is 15 days or more (depending on the country of delivery)
For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
