How does MartiDerm Expression Gel smooth expression lines around the eyes and lips?

MartiDerm Platinum Expression Gel is an intensive anti-ageing gel for expression lines – the wrinkles that form with repeated facial movements, such as crow's feet, lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows, and lines around the lips. It is designed to help prevent and treat these lines by moisturising, filling and relaxing the skin.

Its key ingredients are two peptides: an octapeptide and Syn-Ake, a synthetic peptide that gave the product its popular description as a cream with 'synthetic snake venom'. Both are described as relaxing expression lines. The manufacturer describes the effect as 'botox-like' and presents the gel as an alternative or a complement to aesthetic treatments – it is, however, a cosmetic product and does not work like an injection.

Important notes
