Natrii chloridi infundibile cum glucoso 5% is an infusion solution containing sodium chloride (9 g/L) and glucose (50 g/L). It is used for the replacement of fluids and electrolytes, as well as for the correction of hyponatremia in hospital conditions.
Composition and pharmaceutical form
Active substances: sodium chloride (9 g/L), glucose (50 g/L)
Pharmaceutical form: solution for infusion
Packaging: 500 ml bottle
Method of administration and dosage
Adults: usually administered intravenously in an amount of 500 to 2000 ml over 24 hours, depending on the clinical condition of the patient. The average rate of infusion is about 80 drops per minute (about 250 ml/h).
Children: the dose is determined according to body weight, usually around 5 ml/kg/h.
Indications
Replacement of isotonic fluid and electrolyte loss (e.g. vomiting, diarrhea, kidney disease)
Correction of hyponatremia while reducing the volume of extracellular fluid
Maintenance of extracellular fluid volume during and after surgery in individuals with normal cardiovascular and renal function
As a solvent for other drugs compatible with this solution
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to corn or corn products
High blood sugar (hyperglycemia)
Congestive heart failure
Severe impairment of kidney function
Edema with sodium retention
Acute ischemic stroke
Special warnings and precautions
Monitor the levels of electrolytes and fluids in the body during administration
Watch for possible changes in glycemia, especially in patients with diabetes
Use with caution in patients with hypertension, angina pectoris, pulmonary or peripheral edema, impaired kidney function, preeclampsia, retention sodium, corticosteroid or corticotropin therapy, alcoholism, glucose allergy, thiamine deficiency or hypophosphatemia
Abrupt administration may lead to hypokalemia
The solution has an acidic pH, so incompatibility may occur when mixing with other drugs
Hypertonic solutions can lead to complications, such as shriveling of red blood cells or general cellular dehydration

For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
