What is Contractubex and what is it used for? Contractubex is a medicinal gel for dermal use in approved scar indications, including hypertrophic and keloid scars, after the wound has healed.
Composition: 100 g of gel contains 0.04 g (5000 IU) heparin sodium, 1.0 g allantoin and 10.0 g liquid onion extract. Pack: 50 g.
How is it used? Apply to the skin or scar tissue several times daily and massage gently until fully absorbed. For old, hard scars it may be left under a dressing overnight. Treatment may take weeks or months depending on the scar. Follow the current Serbian patient leaflet for pediatric use.
When should it not be used? Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to active or excipient ingredients and do not apply to open wounds. It is intended for scars after wound closure.
Warnings and precautions Avoid contact with eyes, inside the nose or mouth and other mucous membranes. With fresh scars, avoid extreme cold, UV exposure and excessive massage.
