Do yoghurt, kefir and sauerkraut contain probiotics?
Yoghurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi and other fermented foods may contain live microorganisms, but this does not automatically make them probiotics. In traditionally fermented foods, the exact strains, their quantity and whether they remain alive until consumption are often unknown.
