BIODERMA Atoderm AD Intensive Baume – 400 ml is an intensive emollient balm for very dry, sensitive and atopy- or eczema-prone skin. It is suitable for daily face and body care in babies from birth, children and adults, particularly when dryness, tightness, itching and scratching are pronounced.

The current formula was developed following BIODERMA research into the lipid profile of atopic skin. LIPIDACTIVE technology provides 15 essential biomimetic lipids to help replenish lipids lacking in the compromised skin barrier and support its long-term function.

The formula contains coconut, jojoba, sunflower and meadowfoam oils, squalane, Ceramides NP and AP, phytosphingosine, glycosphingolipids and glycyrrhetinic acid. According to BIODERMA testing, the balm provides rapid relief of itching sensations, 24-hour hydration and up to eight times less itching after one month of regular use.

Directions: apply once or twice daily to cleansed, dry skin of the face and/or body. Massage gently until absorbed. Use a mild cleansing product suitable for very dry and atopy-prone skin.

Pharmacist's advice: emollient care works best when used consistently, including between eczema flare-ups. After a short lukewarm shower, gently pat the skin dry and apply the balm soon afterwards. During an active flare it may complement treatment prescribed by a healthcare professional, but it does not replace that treatment. Weeping lesions, yellow crusts, pain, fever or signs of infection require medical assessment.

No. The 400 ml product uses the newer BI 2040 formulation with LIPIDACTIVE technology and has a different EAN.

Yes. BIODERMA states that it is suitable from birth and may be used on both face and body.
