When should you choose Ajax Boost with baking soda and lemon instead of a classic floor cleaner?

Ajax Boost Baking Soda & Lemon is a liquid all-purpose cleaner by Colgate-Palmolive in a yellow 1 litre bottle. The Boost line is intended for tougher household jobs, and this variant combines baking soda in its name with a fresh lemon scent.

According to the description, the cleaner is thick and has a strong degreasing action, making it a good choice for kitchen floors, tiles behind the cooker and places where grease and dirt tend to build up. At the same time, it is gentle on delicate materials such as marble and ceramics.

Key benefits:

  • Thick formula for everyday cleaning.
  • Strong degreasing action.
  • Undiluted – for stubborn stains.
  • Gentle on marble and ceramics.
  • Fresh lemon scent.

Composition and features

Composition according to the EU-market label of Ajax Boost Baking Soda & Lemon 1 l:

Ingredient / featureDescription
Anionic surfactantsless than 5%
Non-ionic surfactantspart of the degreasing formula
Perfume and glutarallemon scent; glutaral listed on the label
Fragrance allergenslimonene, citral, citronellol, hexyl cinnamal, geraniol, linalool

How to use

For regular floor washing, dilute the cleaner in water according to the dosing on the bottle. Treat stubborn stains, such as grease drops on the kitchen floor, with the undiluted cleaner, then wipe with a damp cloth or sponge.

Who is it for?

For kitchens and rooms with more greasy dirt, for households with children and pets where floors get dirty faster, and for those who like citrus scents.

Important notes

  • Contains glutaral and fragrance allergens.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Read the label before use.

Pharmacist's advice:

Grease on the kitchen floor is easiest to remove while it is fresh: wipe the spot immediately with a paper towel, then apply a little undiluted cleaner and wipe with a damp cloth. Let dried-on grease soften under the solution for a few minutes first.

Although its name mentions baking soda, this is neither a powder nor an abrasive cleaner – burnt-on deposits on the cooker and in the oven need a product made specifically for that.
