  • minor lacerations;

  • abrasions and grazes.

The medicine is intended for these wounds when a bacterial superinfection caused by microorganisms sensitive to tyrothricin is present.

Pain, redness or moisture around a wound does not by itself confirm a bacterial infection. Ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are unsure whether the wound is suitable for treatment with this medicine.

The duration of treatment depends on the appearance and clinical course of the wound. Consult a doctor if there is no improvement after seven days or if the condition becomes worse.

Medical review after seven days: If the wound remains red, painful or moist, or continues to show signs of infection after seven days, the treatment should be reviewed by a doctor.

Use in children

Tyrosur Powder may be used in adults and children aged one year and over in accordance with the official instructions.

The medicine is not intended for children under one year of age. A larger, deeper or unexplained skin injury in a child should be assessed by a paediatrician or another healthcare professional.

Pharmacist’s advice

Pharmacist’s advice: Use Tyrosur Powder only for a small and superficial wound that corresponds to the indication in the official leaflet. Do not assume that every red, moist or painful area of skin has a bacterial infection, and do not automatically reuse the medicine for every new skin problem.

Monitor the appearance of the wound during treatment. Consult a doctor if redness spreads, pain increases, marked discharge appears or there is no improvement after seven days.

Before treatment, check whether the medicine is suitable for the type and size of the wound and compatible with other products you apply to the skin. Do not change the method of application without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
