Strong Nature BetaTen Protect – 30 capsules is a food supplement combining beta-carotene, lycopene, quercetin, vitamin E, zinc, copper and selenium, formulated to provide nutritional and antioxidant support to the skin during periods of increased sun exposure.

The formula combines carotenoids and antioxidant micronutrients with copper, which contributes to normal pigmentation of the skin and hair. Vitamin E, zinc, selenium and copper contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, while zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hair, nails and vision.

BetaTen Protect is taken once daily with a meal and is intended for adults. It may form part of a skincare and nutrition routine before and during sunny periods, but it is not a sunscreen and cannot replace an appropriate SPF product, protective clothing, shade or other sun-protection measures.

Pharmacist's advice: BetaTen Protect should be regarded as nutritional and antioxidant support rather than “internal SPF”. The capsule cannot prevent sunburn and does not replace sunscreen. During sun exposure use broad-spectrum SPF 30–50+, apply an adequate amount and reapply regularly. Taking the capsule with food is also appropriate because beta-carotene and vitamin E are fat-soluble compounds.

Do not use together with bisphosphonates, quinolone antibiotics, penicillamine or tetracyclines without professional advice.
