The drug Zorcaptil contains the active substance captopril. Captopril belongs to a group of medicines called angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors). ACE inhibitors work by helping your blood vessels to dilate and make it easier for blood to flow through them.
Zorcaptil is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and other heart diseases. If left untreated, high blood pressure increases the risk of heart disease or heart attack. The drug Zorcaptil works by lowering your blood pressure and thereby reducing the risk of developing these conditions. The drug Zorcaptil can also be taken in patients whose heart does not pump enough blood to the most distant organs, as well as before. This condition is known as heart failure.
The drug Zorcaptil can be used in therapy in patients who have recently had a heart attack (infarction). A heart attack occurs when one of the largest blood vessels supplying blood to the heart muscle becomes blocked. In this condition, the heart does not get enough oxygen, which it needs, and therefore the heart muscle is damaged. Zorcaptil can be used in the treatment of kidney disease in patients with diabetes.
You must not take Zorcaptil:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to captopril or to any of the auxiliary substances of this medicine (listed in section 6) or to other ACE inhibitors;
if you have ever had a reaction in the form of swelling of the hands, face, tongue or lips (angioedema) which may be hereditary, the cause of which may be unknown or which may occur after taking other ACE inhibitors;
if you are pregnant for more than 3 months or are breastfeeding (you should also avoid the use of Zorcaptil tablets in early pregnancy - see the section "Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding");
if you have diabetes or impaired kidney function and are being treated with a blood pressure medication containing aliskiren
How to use:
For the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension): the recommended starting dose is 12.5 - 25 mg, twice a day. Your doctor may gradually increase this dose to 100 - 150 mg per day. You may also need to take other medicines to lower your blood pressure.
For the treatment of heart failure: the recommended starting dose is 6.25 - 12.5 mg, two to three times a day. Your doctor may gradually increase the dose to a maximum of 150 mg per day
After a heart attack: the recommended starting dose is 6.25 mg, which your doctor will gradually increase to a maximum of 150 mg per day.
For the treatment of patients with diabetes and kidney disease: the recommended dose is 75-100 mg per day.
Composition:
One tablet contains 12.5 mg of captopril

For the export of goods abroad through the PostExport service of Post of Serbia, the shipping price is for:

For export of goods abroad through DHL service, the shipping price is 2,700.00 RSD. Delivery time is 1-5 business days (depending on the country of delivery)
Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
