The drug Zavedos contains the active substance idarubicin hydrochloride, which belongs to the group of drugs called anthracyclines. The drug Zavedos interferes with the growth and multiplication (increase in the number) of cells in your body and is used to treat cancer (chemotherapy).
Zavedos is used in adults and children to treat acute non-lymphoblastic leukemia (ANLL), also called acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The drug Zavedos is also used in adults and children as a second-line therapy for relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Composition:
One vial contains 10 mg of idarubicin hydrochloride. One milliliter of solution after reconstitution contains 1 mg of idarubicin hydrochloride.
Excipients: lactose, anhydrous.
Method of use:
Zavedos will be given to you by injection into a vein. The drug Zavedos should not be administered by injection into the spine. Your doctor will prescribe the necessary amount of medicine (dose). The dose is determined taking into account your disease, height and body weight. Based on your height and body weight, the doctor will calculate the body surface area; this is necessary because the dose is usually expressed as "milligrams per square meter" (mg/m2), and is administered by injection, for three consecutive days.
However, your doctor may change the dose of the drug and the number of days of treatment depending on your condition and other therapy you may be receiving.

Shipping cost is with tax. The price includes the delivery of the parcel to the buyer's address with the associated tax and customs at the seller's expense. A possible additional cost may be a customs charge against the buyer, depending on the country to which the package is being shipped.
