Protefix Neutral Denture Adhesive Cream 47 g is a medical device intended to provide additional fixation for full and partial dentures. It can be applied directly to a moist denture, with its adhesive action becoming active immediately after insertion.
The neutral formula contains no colourants, flavouring agents, preservatives or zinc salts. It is odourless and tasteless and therefore does not add a noticeable flavour to food or drinks.
The cream provides strong, long-lasting adhesion, while the peripheral seal helps reduce the penetration of food particles between the denture and oral mucosa. It may be particularly practical in difficult adhesion conditions and in people with increased saliva flow.

Directions for use
- Clean the denture and oral mucosa thoroughly, removing food particles and previous adhesive residue.
- Gently knead the tube before the first and each subsequent use.
- Leave the denture moist; complete drying is not necessary.
- Apply a small amount of cream in short, thin strips to the areas that rest against the jaw.
- Insert the denture and press it firmly into place for several seconds.
- Wait approximately five minutes before eating.
- The maximum daily amount is up to 0.8 g of adhesive cream.
How should adhesive residue be removed?
After removing the denture, clean residual adhesive from both the denture and oral mucosa. Residue may be removed more easily with cotton wool or gauze soaked in edible oil.
The denture should then be cleaned with a suitable denture-cleaning product and according to the dentist’s recommendations.
Important information
- use only as directed in the enclosed instructions;
- apply sparingly, as excessive cream may weaken adhesion and make cleaning more difficult;
- do not use in case of hypersensitivity to an ingredient;
- do not apply to injured, inflamed or diseased oral mucosa;
- discontinue use and contact a dentist or doctor if burning, swelling, pain, a rash or another reaction occurs;
- denture adhesive should be used temporarily and denture fit should be checked regularly by a dentist;
- the product cannot repair a damaged, poorly made or unsuitable denture;
- close the tube carefully after use and keep the opening clean and completely dry;
- water entering the tube opening may cause the contents to harden;
- keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
Pharmacist’s advice
The most common mistake is using too much adhesive cream. Apply only a few short, thin strips. If the cream spreads beyond the edges of the denture, more than the necessary amount has probably been applied.
Protefix Neutral may provide greater confidence while speaking and eating, but it does not correct the cause of poor denture fit. The shape of the jaw and oral tissues changes over time, so a previously well-fitting denture may become loose.
If increasingly large amounts of cream are required, or if the denture causes pressure points, sores, clicking, movement during speech or difficulty chewing, its fit should be examined by a dentist.
Clean the denture carefully every day and remove it at night when this has been recommended by the dentist, allowing the oral mucosa to rest.
